I am an illustrator born in Sevilla, Spain (1992) based in London and currently available for freelance work.
I mostly do children book's illustrations. Designing characters, backgrounds and atmospheric ambients. I combine both digital and traditional media, like watercolours, gouache, pencils, and ink. Magic, folklore, old tales, ghost stories, mysticism, ancient rituals, and past times like the Victorian period are key elements in my works. I love creating other worlds where all this merges together in visualy pleasant, yet a little bit unsettling, composition.
The work of Eyvind Earle on Disney's Sleeping Beauty or Brett Helquist, Arthur Rackham, Kay Nielsen, and Aubrey Beardsley influence my illustrations.
I also find my muses in the gothic art of the Middle Ages, in Romanticism, in Aestheticism, in Japanese and European folklore, and in religious sculptures from Andalusia's Holy Week, as well as in the kawaii-Creepy style of singers like Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and Lady Gaga. Films such as Suspiria (1977), The Color of Pomegranates(1969), Vampyr (1932) or Bram Stocker's Dracula (1992) are also good examples to understand my work.
